What do I need to bring with me?
Depending on the type of photo session you are having, I always advise to bring enough clothing change options & props you wish to use. It’s always better to bring too much than to wish you had brought something you left at home. Bring your own hair clips, make-up and any other personal grooming items.
Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely – if you are more comfortable having a friend or family member come alone, please do so. It is important however, that whom ever comes with you does not become a distraction. Photo shoots have time limits, so the more distractions the fewer number of good photo’s possibly will be taken. Remember, we are looking for those few perfect shots that you will want to keep.
What’s the difference between your studio services and a typical portrait studio found at a department store for example?
Department store studios are great if you only need a couple of poses to choose from and limited effects. My studio offers a much more private and comfortable setting with opportunity for taking many poses. In addition I have greater flexibility to adjust lighting settings to create the shadow & special effects that you see in many captivating pictures. Another important key factor to consider is what can be done with the photo after it is taken. I have over 8 years Photoshop experience, which can transform your picture from ordinary to a work of art.
What’s the difference in your pricing?
Actually when you start comparing and factoring most others options and “hidden” extra costs, my pricing is hard to beat. Also, when you do compare make sure you compare with like services. The real cost of my work comes from my experience and skill to offer you a unique and memorable photo. The customizing level available through my studio far exceeds what a department store studio can produce. They tend to operate on a quantity basis, where as I work on a “One of a Kind” basis. I like to tell people to take advantage of excellent pricing before I become famous and have to charge alot more. lol
Do you have an area of specialty?
Like most photographers, we all have areas that we do a greater amount of our work in, such as wedding photography, events, families, etc. I have been fortunate to gain alot experience in quite a variety of areas and love working in studio creating moods with variances of lighting (what is also refered to as Low Key) It can create a very romantic/sexy feel for boudoir style photo's or a very stunning effect for individual portriats where you don't want alot of distractions in the picture. Also, combined with my computer enhancement skills, I can create digital makeovers that have you looking at your best. In all - I have had great responses from all that have used my services as evident by thier referals to friends and family.
How do I get the most from my photo shoot?
I can’t emphasize enough the importance for you to let the photographer (me) know exactly what you want and the look you are going for. Please have a conversation with me prior to coming so that I can plan the session out and you will get the total possible benefit from your time. It is very difficult to guess what the client wants if they don’t speak up. I don’t want to waste your time on shots that you wouldn’t consider choosing for prints. I am very open to your ideas and love the interaction, so please, don’t be shy and speak up.
Can a friend and I do our shoot at the same time?
Yes of course, however, realize that you will be sharing the stage & my concentration will be split between the two of you. It often works very well, and while one person is changing outfits, I am photographing the other. Please plan for a slightly longer time in studio so that a sufficient number of photo’s can be taken for you to choose the best from.
